Vahatuka Motors (Prabhati: वाहतुक मोतर्स, Vāhatūka Mōṭarsa), or simply Vahatuka is a Prabhat multinational manufacturer of automobiles, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, aircraft and military vehicles. The company is the largest automotive manufacturer in Prabhat, concentrating 37% of auto exports, and has a wide reach at an international level. It was founded in 1987 after the merger of the Vāhatūka Udyōga Kampanī and Rijhākanau Hēvī Iṇḍasṭrīja companies. The company's headquarters are located in Bhāgya, the capital of Prabhat.
History
The first predecessor of Vahatuka Motors to be founded was the Transportation Industry Company in 1911, originally as a company dedicated to the manufacture of trains. Manufacturing of the first automobiles began in 1934, being one of the first automobile manufacturers in Prabhat. During the following years, its sales grew to become one of the most important companies in that sector.
In 1944 Rizaknow Heavy Industries was founded, an industrial company that began in the automotive industry in 1951. The vast wealth of its owners and its large number of factories placed it as one of the fastest growing in the country, beginning its competition with Transportation Industry Company. In 1953 it also became one of the first aircraft manufacturers in Prabhat, something its competitor lacked.
In 1987, the owners of both companies decided to join forces to face the arrival of new national and international competitors and merged their two companies, creating the Vahatuka Motor Corporation, now Vahatuka Motors.
