Hararei: Keomitaun Pier 11
Hararei bought Pier 11 (which already hosted a small park) of Keomitaun in 1989, as part of the expansion of the brand in Avalonia. Construction for the expansion of new park started in 1990, but the plans for the new park on the pier were very ambitious, and cost overruns forced the project to a halt in 1992. Despite the issues, the park (which was smaller than planned) was finally inaugurated in 1994. In 1995, after various failed attempts to resolve the cost issues, the undeveloped parcels of land were sold to a private developer, which utilised the land for a mixed use development of condominioms known as The Estate at Pier 11.
After resolving the financial crisis of the corporation, plans to expand the Hosuman property materialised again. In 2003, Hararei purchased the smaller Pier 12, and some parcels of lands near Pier 11. Construction started close after the purchases, and the renovated and expanded Pier 11 park was inauguarated in 2005.
