Operational History
First and lauch customer of the Traveller was the sannlig flag carrier Sannlig Air Shuttle, which introduced a first batch of 10 units into service on its commuter flights to Eridlo International. In 2005 SAS made an order for additional 10 Travellers, which were delivered between 2007 and 2010.
In 2010 the Sannlig Air Force announced that it had contracted Aerosann AB and Sannsystems AB to jointly develop a fleet of aerial reconnaissance and surveillance platforms based on the Traveller. While Aerosann delivered the airframes, Sannsystems was responsible for the military conversion and the development of the electronic systems. The first unit made its first flight in 2015 and was tested extensively, before being accepted into service as E-17 in 2017. The E-17 platform is bound into the Allfather combat network, which is the flagship program for the digitalization of the sannlig forces.
